There's no place like home for Brayton Graphics owner, Elizabeth Delos

Nobody knows this better than Elizabeth Delos. After graduating from the New England Institute of Art in 2005 with her Bachelor of Science in Graphic Design, the Niskayuna native gave up her position as senior graphic designer at Clear Channel Taxi Media in Boston to…well…go home.
Hoping that following her heart would pay off, Delos took the enormous leap of faith. Schenectady County welcomed the young talent back with open arms and it wasn’t long before her dream of starting her own design firm gained the momentum needed to become a reality.
With tremendous local support and unrivaled determination, Delos has built Brayton Graphics from the ground up. In just over three short years since its inception, the business has seen substantial growth, development, and success. Even in the face of a shaky economy, Brayton Graphics has continued to thrive.
On May 14th, Elizabeth Delos was named one of the Business Review’s 2010, 40 Under Forty. The program, now in its 10th year, recognizes young professionals for their accomplishments in the areas of business and community involvement—two areas that Delos knows well.
Then, earlier last week on June 8th, still reeling from the excitement of the 40 Under Forty event, Delos was invited to the Schenectady County Legislature meeting as a guest of honor. She— along with ten other Schenectady professionals—was recognized for her outstanding work within the city. To be honored in her own community struck a special chord with Delos, who feels such a connection to the region.
Jumping in with both feet and never looking back has certainly paid off for the young entrepreneur. For Delos, home is where the heart is, and her heart has always been in Schenectady County.

"I was very flattered to be named a 40 Under Forty. To be a part of, and surrounded by 39 other business professionals, and hear their success stories, was a very humbling honor. Then, to follow that up with recognition from Schenectady County—where I started, and continue to grow my business—it is all just proof that if you work hard enough you can truly succeed in your goals."—Elizabeth Delos
